Wedding Testimonial

Dear Rabbi,

On behalf of Matt and myself, and our families, we really wanted to say thank you for such a beautiful ceremony and just wonderful job at our wedding. We had so many people come up to ask and ask who you were and where you were affiliated and complimented your ceremony and you in general. We had a dear friend who is non-Jewish, explain that this was the first Jewish wedding she and her husband had attended and you made them feel so warm and included, and they loved how you explained everything so they knew exactly what was going on. Throughout the night we kept hearing how warm you are and how you made the ceremony so inviting. I just wanted to give you the feedback because we 100% agreed with everyone’s comments.

Thank you for adding such a special touch to our ceremony and Ketubah signing – it was absolutely perfect for us and we are very grateful for your services. We will definitely be passing your name around!

Thank you again so, so much – thank you for helping to make our wedding so wonderful.

Love,
Rachel and Matt

Funeral Testimonial

Dear Rabbi Nancy,
Writing you today on behalf of our family. Our heartfelt appreciation to you for the beautiful, poignant, and respectful service you conducted for our dear father, Leo. The traditions of the ceremony, solemn prayers you beautifully sung, and your compassion and support . . . would have pleased our father so much. Our family will continue to remember his funeral service as a celebration of his amazing life and it will continue to help us heal.
Thank you again Rabbi Nancy for bringing our family great comfort in our time of need.
Warmest Regards,
Arlene, Pat, Steve and family

Baby Naming Testimonial

Dear Rabbi Nancy,
As you know, my grandfather, Cantor Dale Lind, officiated my family’s life cycle events until his passing. When I was ordained shortly after, everyone was relieved that there would still be a Cantor in the family to officiate for them, but there was no other relative to officiate for me.
When my husband and I began discussing plans for our daughter’s baby naming ceremony, you were the first person we thought of. As my classmate at JSLI, and as a colleague in the Chicago area, I have gotten to know and appreciate you both as a person and as a spiritual leader. It was such an honor when you invited me to sing with you at your granddaughter’s naming ceremony, and I knew you would bring the same warmth, love, spirit, and joy to my own daughter’s simcha.
Because I am a Cantor, you happily allowed and encouraged me to help in planning the service and even brought materials and options for readings to our home! On the day of the naming, you talked through how things would go and surprised us with an adorable certificate for our daughter that we can frame and hang in her bedroom. The service itself was beautiful, inclusive, and just what we wanted.
Many of our relatives and friends commented on what a lovely service you lead and on your welcoming demeanor. Most importantly, you gave me something I was worried I would not find after the loss of my grandfather – someone to be a Cantor’s Rabbi. It is an honor and a blessing to know you and to know what wonderful work you do for the people who need you.
With Love and Many Thanks,
Cantor Joanna Lind, Brant, & Mabel Harris

Bat Mitzvah Testimonial

Dear Rabbi Landsman,

We had the honor and pleasure of you officiating Maddie’s Bat Mitzvah, and we could not have been happier. You gave her such a sense of calm leading up to her special day, and made her feel so comfortable and confident, and for that I cannot thank you enough.

All the time you took to assist in putting together Maddie’s prayer book to share with our family and friends meant so much to us. Although it certainly was a labor of love, I could never have done it without all of your help.

The service was more special than I anticipated. We had many friends and family who had never been to a Bar/Bat Mitzvah and your explanation of each part of the service made them feel so included. You were so warm and engaging and almost everyone who attended commented to us about it. Thank you for helping to make a special day in Maddie’s life even more meaningful and memorable.

With joy and gratitude,

Kathy and Jamie
